As for all travellers the whole world over, the following motto is valid:

Protect the environment, and only walk on made up pathways and allocated routes to protect nature and the animal kingdom. Do not simply throw rubbish or other things away, but rather keep these items with you until you arrive in the next largest place, where you can dispose of them in rubbish bins.
