Money matters
It is best if you take cash with you for such expenditure
as drinks, tips, and souvenirs and to keep your travel cheques as security
savings. As a rule you should only change your money in banks and hotels,
or in a bureau de change. Since there are particularly few opportunities
to change your money in isolated areas, it is important to have enough
cash at your disposal. Credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, Euro
card and Visa are normally accepted. It is almost impossible to pay with
credit card outside of the main cities. On no account should you rely
solely on your card. In the country itself, the dollar is the most popular
exchange currency.
